BI-670 BIA Certificate of Bookkeeping using MYOB

This non-accredited course is for people who want to have a greater understanding of the underlying principals of bookkeeping & accounting, as well as receiving comprehensive bookkeeping training using MYOB.

The Bookkeeping Institute of Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) registered under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF). Our national provider code is 32190.

We send you the following by door-to-door courier:

• For bookkeeping courses we send you a PowerPoint presentation of over 800 slides (depending on the course) that guides you through all of the lectures and prompts you when to complete a self-paced MYOB course or to complete your assessments.

• A USB Flash Drive which contains ALL of your assessments and supporting material, the PowerPoint presentation, your student handbook and a selection of really useful guides on GST and other tax relates matters.

• For the Cert IV Bookkeeping we include six printed and bound study guides, four MYOB self-paced manuals, two textbooks and any other important handbooks.

You work through the material at your own pace and submit your assessments as and when you are ready. This allows you to progress through the course at a pace that suits your needs.

You have 12 months (which will be extended to 18 months on request) in which to submit your assessments for marking. If you need help or have any questions we are just an email away. We will normally get back to you within 24 hours with either an email response with reference information or we will telephone you to chat about the issue.

BAS Agents Act 2009

Starting on 1 March 2010 new entrants to the bookkeeping industry will be required to have 1400 hours of experience performing BAS services while working for a tax or BAS agent for 1400 hours and to hold a Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping).

The Bookkeeping Institute of Australia will not only enable you to obtain the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) but through our partnership with tax agent ABN BAS you will also be able to provide BAS agent services for a fee while gaining your 1,400 hours for registration as a BAS Agent in your own right.

To book a course

To book a course by distance learning first click on the menu option at left and then select the the course name that you are interested in from the drop down menu list that will appear. Then after reviewing the course details click on the Book A Course menu option at left and then select the the course name (or group) from the drop down menu list that will appear.

You will be taken to a booking page where you can then choose "Distance Learning" from the "Available course date" drop down menu options. Then just follow the prompts. This method will ensure that you receive your discount for choosing to enroll by distance.
