BI-810 Microsoft Excel - Day to Day

General Description:

This course is intended for people who have not used Excel before and for current Excel users who wish to learn how to extend their use of the software.

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this courseware participants will be able to:

· create, modify, save, and close a simple workbook

· select ranges of cells in a workbook

· create formulas that perform calculations in a workbook

· copy and fill data in a workbook

· create and work with functions in a workbook

· work with one or more workbooks at once

· use a range of techniques to work with worksheets

· adjust the sizing of columns and rows in a workbook

· use a variety of viewing techniques to view worksheets

· format cells in a workbook

· print data in a workbook.

Target Audience:

This course is intended for people who have not used Excel before and for current Excel users who wish to learn how to extend their use of the software.

Prerequisites:

This course is designed for participants with little or no knowledge of the software but assumes the participant has a basic understanding of the Windows environment and file management.

Methodology:

A self-paced hands-on approach is taken during this course. A case study is used to produce real-life scenarios so that learners experience how to use the software to solve everyday problems and undertake routine tasks. A course manual is included in the cost of this course. Course files are provided with this courseware.

Certificate:

The Bookkeeping Institute of Australia will issue a Certificate of Achievement upon completion of this course.
