General Description:

This course aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge to create documents, automate many operations in Word, perform advanced merges, outline a document, and use WordArt.

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this courseware participants will be able to:

  • use the autotext, autocomplete, autocorrect, and autoformat features

  • import Excel, Word and Access data into a word document

  • manage the use of styles

  • create, modify and delete bookmarks, endnotes and footnotes

  • work with columns

  • use outlining in documents

  • perform more complex merge operations

  • use the WordArt feature in word

  • create fields that prompt the user for input

  • create macros in Word.

Target Audience:

This course aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge to create documents, automate many operations in Word, perform advanced merges, outline a document, and use WordArt.

Prerequisites:

It is assumed in this course that participants have a working knowledge of document creation in Word and are able to use the merge and table features at a basic level.

Methodology:

 

A self-paced hands-on approach is taken during this course. A case study is used to produce real-life scenarios so that learners experience how to use the software to solve everyday problems and undertake routine tasks. A course manual is included in the cost of this course. Course files are provided with this courseware.

Certificate:

The Bookkeeping Institute of Australia will issue a Certificate of Achievement upon completion of this course.
